IDENTIFIKASI RISIKO KESEHATAN DAN KESELAMATAN KERJA PADA PEKERJA PENGUMPUL SAMPAH MANUAL DI JAKARTA SELATAN

Abstract
Waste collection is one of the activities that should be performed on the waste management process. This activity can pose a potential high risk given the dangers that may arise while direct contact with the garbage and activities conducted. This study aims to identify potential risks to the health and safety of workers garbage collector. The survey uses a structured questionnaire distributed to 25 the refuse collector randomly selected in Srengseng Sawah-Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data collected. The the garbage collectors who agreed the use of personal protective equipment at work is approximately 64% or around 16 respondents. Musculoskeletal disorders suffered by respondents is around 19 people, or roughly 76%. The Respondents who suffered puncture wounds as a result of did not use gloves were 23 respondents or approximately 92%. Wrist and lower back are the most common musculoskeletal disorder that affects approximately 23 respondents. Generally, workers require personal protective equipment in order to prevent and reduce accidents. Improvement measures should be always be done such as healthy behaviour, use of personal protective equipment and the development of working methods based on ergonomic principles.

APPLICATION ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS (AHP): A CASE STUDY OF E-WASTE MANAGEMENT IN SURABAYA, INDONESIA


ABSTRACT
Increasing the quantity of e-waste is a concern to all stakeholders in most countries in the globe. The paper explains the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied with Expert Choice software to choose some variables that influence the management of electronic waste in the city of Surabaya. There are five variables contained in the management of electronic waste such as: Technology, Financial, Environmental, Social and Methods. Questionnaires carried out to select the five variables. Replication and questionnaire design was modified from the World Bank and UNEP. Questionnaires were distributed to five key informants located in the city of Surabaya. The result using Expert Choice software shows the values of the preference variables electronics waste management in the city of Surabaya i.e. Technology = 0.095, Financial = 0.251, = 0.455 Environmental, Social = 0.154, Method = 0.046. The judgments were found to be consistent, precise and justifiable with narrow marginal inconsistency values. This paper also provides a thorough sensitivity analysis to express the confidence in the drawn conclusions. Keywords: E-waste, AHP, expert choice, sensitive analysis, Surabaya.
